UJUNGKULON FM – Dalamrangka merayakan Dies Natalis ke 39 Universitas Terbuka (UT) yang akan diselenggarakan pada 4 September 2023 mendatang, berbagai rangkaian acara siap digelar, salahsatunya adalah kegiatan sunatan massal yang digelar pada hari Sabtu, (01/07/2023) di kantor Universitas Terbuka Serang.
Kegiatan Sunatan Massal dengan tema “UT Peduli Membangun Generasi Sehat Untuk Indonesia” merupakan bentuk kepedulian UT untuk memudahkan masyarakat menyegerakan pelaksanaan salah satu syariat Islam untuk mewujudkan generasi yang lebih sehat dan sholeh.
Menurut Rektor UT Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus., Ph.D., kegiatan Sunatan Massal ini telah rutin dilakukan pada setiap rangkaian Dies Natalis UT, namun yang berbeda dengan kegiatan tahun ini adalah tempat penyelenggaraan, yang biasanya digelar di UT Pusat Pondok Cabe, Tangerang selatan, namu kali ini merambah ke UT Daerah tepatnya di Kantor UT Serang.
Menurutnya Sunatan Massal kali ini difokuskan untuk lebih menjangkau masyarakat yang membutuhkan di wilayah Banten, dalam upaya mendukung pelaksanaan syariat Islam sebagian masyarakat Banten kepada anak laki-lakinya, dengan jumlah anak yang dikhitan tahun ini sebanyak 100 anak. dan pelaksanaan proses khitan dilakukan oleh tim dari Poliklinik UT yang sudah ahli dan profesional dibidangnya.
Sementara itu Direktur UT Serang Dr. Maman Rumanta M.Si., sangat mengapresiasi kegiatan ini dan mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Rektor yang telah memilih UT Serang sebagai tuan rumah dalam kegiatan Sunatan Massal ini dan UT serang menjadi yang pertama kali UT Daerah yang menggelar kegiatan ini
“Kami sangat senang dan bersemangat dapat menjadi bagian dari kegiatan sosial ini, karena melalui kegiatan ini UT Serang akan lebih dekat dengan masyarakat banten, dan semoga kegiatan ini dapat memberikan manfaat dan maslahat bagi masyarakat ” ungkap maman.
